About user auditing
User audit logging captures a record of all the user actions performed in the NetIM web application. Entries for these user actions will be written to a log file. NetIM can also create alerts and notification messages for the most important commands, such as creating a new user, adding a device to the system, or modifying an alert profile. This set of features meets many compliance requirements.
The following diagram shows the relationship between the components involved in user auditing. When user audit logging is enabled, an entry for each user command is written to the user audit log file. If the user audit alert profile is active, user audit alerts will be created for the key user command types. Furthermore, if the user audit alert profile is configured for notifications, then corresponding notification messages will be sent for each user audit alert.
