About VM system monitor and notifications
VM system monitor and notifications checks the state of NetIM VMs periodically and notifies you if a disk space is becoming low, or any swarm or core services go down. By default, you will see a notification message on the VM console, in real time or upon login to the VM. Optionally, you can also send an email notification.
The system monitor service runs on the manager VM. All the configurations are done on the manager VM.
By default, if the usage of any one of the disks goes over 90%, the system monitor service sends a warning message. If it goes over 95%, the system monitor service sends an error message and stops all swarm and core services. This is necessary to prevent possible data integrity issues. The warning and error threshold values can be configurable.
You can be notified if any one of swarm or core services becomes degraded or goes down. This service is disabled by default.
