To create a filter, click Add in the Create Metric Component Filter panel, and save, revert, or cancel your changes. These configuration options are available:

Enables you to enter a unique name to identify the filter.

Enables you to enter a description for the filter.

Enables you to select a metric class from the drop-down menu. Only metric classes with component metrics are available for selection.

Enables you to determine the acceptance criteria for the matched regular expressions.

Include keeps the metric data that matches the filter.

Exclude discards the metric data that matches the filter.

Enables you to match on All or Any of the specified field conditions. Regular expressions can be defined for each field that are part of the metric components.

Enables you to add, remove, and configure component field filters.

Component field is based on the metric class chosen from the drop-down menu, the component fields associated with the metric class will be listed.

Filters is a comma-separated list of regular expressions that will be applied to the metric field when the metric data is processed. For the successful match, at least one of the regular expressions should match the data.

Description enables you to enter a description for the component field filter.
