The value mapper converter is used to map a set of values to a different set of values. Typically, this converter is used as one of the steps in a multi-step converter. It takes the value computed in the OIDs selection and maps it to a different value.

A value mapper converter can also be configured as enum style and can be mapped to an integer. This allows the metric to be alertable. Multiple values can be mapped to the same value.
