Working with general NetIM settings

Help for most fields is displayed when you mouse over the Information icon.

You can configure general NetIM settings, such as IP Detection, Application Properties, and Device Discovery Global Settings, under Configure > All Settings > Customize: General Settings.

On the General Settings page, you can configure settings related to the following:

• NetIM Full Model Export

• Report Export Service

• Device Discovery Global Settings

• IP Detection

• Polling and Metrics Collection

• Portal Launch for NetAuditor Web

• Config File Archive Settings

• SNMP MIB Poller

• Notification Suppression

• Link and Connection Inference

• Organizational Policy Audit

• Device Discovery Merge Override Settings

Export Model

The General Settings page contains a button to perform a full export of the NetIM network model. The model is exported to a file in XML format. Technical Support may instruct you to execute this function and provide the resulting file to them.

Delete All Links

The General Settings page contains a button to perform the deletion of all links from the NetIM network model. This function should be performed when you want to have link inference perform a recalculation of all inferred connectivity. Technical Support may instruct you to execute this function.

Delete All Groups

The General Settings page contains a button to perform the deletion of all groups from the NetIM network model. Technical Support may instruct you to execute this function.

Delete All Sites

The General Settings page contains a button to perform the deletion of all sites from the NetIM network model. Technical Support may instruct you to execute this function.
